Scott A. Austin is a 1992 graduate of Samford University. Before launching Austin Appraisal LLC, Scott worked and trained with three Appraisal Institute designated appraisers.  Scott is a Certified Residential Real Property Appraiser. 

While well experienced in mortgage appraisal, Scott specializes in Relocation Appraisal, Forensic/Review Appraisal, and Rehabilitation/Investment Appraisal, and REO/Foreclosure Appraisal.

Scott is a member of Birmingham Association of Realtors/MLS, The National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA), the Appraisal Group Data Association, and the Employee Relocation Council (ERC).  According to the Worldwide ERC's 2006 Directory, Scott was the first appraiser in the Birmingham market who was "ERC Appraisal Trained." 

A national relocation company recently ranked Scott's "variance" as being the lowest (i.e. highest degree of accuracy) among their select group of relocation appraisers in accurately determining "Anticipated Sales Price".

Several national appraisal industry publications have featured articles by Scott on practical, technical and ethical aspects of the appraisal profession.

Scott is blessed to be married to Julie.  They are greatful to be the parents of Rachel, Hannah and Lydia . 

Their family attends Briarwood Presbyterian Church (www.Briarwood.org) where Scott is a deacon.  Scott and Julie are both involved in Briarwood's Global Ministry Team, which works with church supported missionaries, who are taking the good news of Jesus Christ around the world.
